When will SDK be released?

Any idea when the production release of the SDK will be available and what it will cost? I am working on a program that I would like to be able to create versioned files from. I have just started looking at the examples…C is not my best language. Can the .dll be used from BASIC and is the .dll documented anywhere? I was looking for something like SQLite .dll.

DLL can be called from Basic
